Cybersecurity and IT Consulting
Security reviews and IT advice to reduce risk and guide spending
Security assessments, access control, backup strategy, remediation and independent technology advice for organisations of any size.

Who this is for
Universities, hospitals and law firms hold records that attackers and careless mistakes can both expose, from student and patient data to confidential case files. We help organisations understand where their systems are weak, fix the most important issues first and make informed decisions about technology spending, without selling fear or unnecessary products.
Typical findings include shared admin passwords, outdated software, open remote access, untested backups and no record of who can access what. We assess your environment, explain risks in plain terms, prioritise practical fixes and help you put basic controls in place that align with obligations under the DPDP Act 2023 and CERT-In guidance.
What we deliver
- Security assessments
- Reviewing systems, configurations, user accounts and practices to identify weaknesses, with each finding rated by risk and explained in plain language.
- Secure software development
- Applying secure coding practices, code review and dependency checks to applications we build or maintain, guided by common references such as the OWASP Top 10.
- Access control
- Setting up role-based access, removing unused accounts, enforcing strong passwords and enabling multi-factor authentication on email, servers and key applications.
- Backup strategies
- Designing backups with offline or immutable copies, defined retention and documented restore steps, so ransomware or hardware failure does not mean permanent loss.
- Vulnerability remediation
- Patching software, closing unnecessary ports and services, fixing misconfigurations and re-checking that each issue has been resolved.
- Infrastructure audits
- Reviewing servers, network devices, licences and hardware age to produce an inventory and a prioritised list of upgrades and risks.
- Technology consulting
- Independent advice on software selection, vendor proposals, IT roadmaps and budgets, so decisions are based on your needs rather than a vendor's pitch.
What changes for your organisation
Prioritised list of fixes
You get a ranked action plan, so limited budgets go to the issues that matter most first.
Plain-language findings
Reports are written for leadership as well as IT staff, explaining each risk and its business impact.
Better recovery readiness
Tested backups and documented procedures shorten recovery if something goes wrong.
Independent advice
Recommendations are not tied to selling a particular product or licence.
How a cybersecurity and it consulting engagement runs
- 1
Scoping
We agree which systems, sites and data are in scope and set rules of engagement in writing.
- 2
Assessment
We review configurations, accounts, policies and exposed services, and interview key staff.
- 3
Risk report
We document findings with risk ratings, evidence and recommended fixes.
- 4
Remediation
We fix agreed issues ourselves or guide your team and vendors through them.
- 5
Verification
We re-test to confirm that fixes are in place and working.
Questions about cybersecurity and it consulting
Will a security assessment interrupt our systems?
Most assessment work involves reviewing configurations and reading logs, which does not affect users. Any active testing is agreed in writing beforehand and scheduled to avoid critical periods.
Does this make us compliant with the DPDP Act 2023?
An assessment helps you identify and close technical gaps related to protecting personal data, but compliance also involves legal, policy and consent measures. We can work alongside your legal advisors on the technical side.
What do you need from us?
We need a list of systems and sites in scope, administrative access or an IT contact who can provide it, any existing policies and an executive sponsor who can approve priorities.
What affects the cost of an assessment?
Cost depends on the number of sites, servers, applications and users in scope, and on whether you want only a report or also hands-on remediation. Narrowing the first assessment to critical systems is a sensible starting point.
How is sensitive information from the assessment handled?
Findings, credentials and evidence are shared only with named contacts, stored securely and removed from our systems once the engagement ends, unless you ask us to retain them for follow-up work.
